UIII.AC.ID, DEPOK – The Minister of Public Works and Housing (Ministry of PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono inspected the construction of the Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII) located at the RRI Cimanggis Complex, Depok on Friday (17/09).
Minister Basuki was accompanied by Iwan Suprijanto, Director of Strategic Infrastructure, Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of PUPR. Basuki came to review the second phase of the UIII construction, namely the library and mosque which is carried out by PT. PP (Persero).
He also emphasized the importance of implementing health protocols in designing the building, including air circulation, room capacity and cleaning. "Scientists have predicted that the Covid-19 pandemic will soon become endemic. Therefore, the construction of the building must follow health protocols, one of which is creating good air circulation, especially at the library where people usually gather.
It must at least have a good air circulation system at the front entrance and the back. Please make sure to adjust it during the construction completion," said Basuki. Furthermore at the mosque, Basuki advised for ease of cleaning. He said that it is better if the floors do not use carpets and use marble floors instead so it can be cleaned more easily.
Basuki was satisfied with the progress and hoped that the construction could be completed on time. (aa)
