Jakarta (UIII News) – The Rector of Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII), Prof. Jamhari Makruf, accompanied by a delegation, held a strategic meeting with Ace Hasan Syadzily, the Governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) on Monday, January 6, 2024.
The meeting, conducted at Lemhannas headquarters in Jakarta, focused on fostering collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in promoting moderate Islam and preparing future leaders for Indonesia. Prof. Jamhari was joined by Prof. Komarudin Hidayat, UIII’s former Rector (2019-2024), and Rifqi Muna, PhD, UIII’s Chairman of the Academic Senate.Governor Ace highlighted Lemhannas’ pivotal role in shaping Indonesia’s leadership across various sectors, emphasizing its alignment with UIII’s mission to cultivate ethical, competent, and globally-minded leaders rooted in moderate Islamic values.

"Lemhannas is committed to building leaders who uphold Pancasila (Indonesia's state ideology) and the principles of unity and tolerance. Collaborating with UIII provides an opportunity to strengthen these values by integrating Islamic moderation into our leadership training programs," Ace remarked.
Prof. Jamhari underscored UIII’s dedication to advancing moderate Islamic thought as a cornerstone of leadership development. "At UIII, we aim to nurture leaders who not only excel academically but also embody the values of peace, tolerance, and social justice. Working with Lemhannas will amplify these principles and contribute to Indonesia’s resilient future," he stated.
