Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) is honored with the visit of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity (HCHF) Secretary-General, H.E. Dr. Khalid Ghanim Alghaith, to the UIII campus in Depok, West Java, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.

UIII Rector, Prof. Jamhari, accompanied him on a campus tour, along with other HCHF delegates and UIII officials. The tour was centered on the UIII Three Pillar Plaza, consisting of Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin Mosque, Jusuf Kalla Central Library, and the Joko Widodo Rectorate Building.

Each building of Three Pillars Plaza represents UIII values and philosophy. The Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin Mosque represents ‘faith’. UIII aims to promote moderate and peaceful Islam that can contribute to world peace through international standard of education.

The second building to visit was Jusuf Kalla Central Library, which represents 'knowledge'. In this picture, Dr. Khalid filled out the visitor form at the library's front desk, followed by the other guests. UIII Central Library hosts many book collections including from Australian Historian Prof. M.C. Ricklefs.

Inside the Library building, the guests visited several spots including the study corners, communal space, as well as Library Studio. In this picture, Mr. Khalid and his colleague Mr. Herizal Hazri listened to Prof. Jamhari's explanation about the library facilities while sitting in the communal space.

Meanwhile, HCHF Counselor H.E. Rehab Ali Almansoori, who accompanied Mr. Khalid on this visit, got an opportunity to take a video podcast at the library studio to talk about UIII and Indonesia. In this picture, she was accompanied by Prof. Nina Nurmila, the Dean of UIII Faculty of Education.

After the Jusuf Kalla Library, the tour ended at the UIII Rectorate Building, the last building at Three Pillar Plaza which represents 'leadership', complementing the other two pillars: mosque (faith) and library (knowledge).
