UIII Celebrates Indonesia's 79th Independence Day with Enthusiasm and Cultural Pride

Depok, August 17, 2024 – This Saturday morning, Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) held a vibrant ceremony to mark the 79th Anniversary of Indonesia's Independence. Starting at 07:30 AM under the bright and warm sunshine, the event brought together the entire UIII community for a meaningful celebration at the UIII Three Pillar Plaza.

The ceremony was led by UIII Rector, Prof. Dr. Jamhari, who served as the ceremonial inspector. His address emphasized the importance of remembering the nation's hard-fought independence and the value of cultural heritage in shaping Indonesia's identity. 


Following the ceremony, the celebration continued with a lively traditional and national fashion competition, where participants showcased a stunning array of Indonesian attire. This competition not only highlighted the diversity of Indonesia’s cultures but also fostered a sense of pride among the participants and spectators alike, including some international graduate students from various departments. 

This year’s commemoration of Indonesia's 79th Independence Day at UIII was filled with enthusiasm, cultural pride, and unity. The UIII community came together to honor the nation's history and to celebrate the freedom that has been achieved. Merdeka!
