We Strive to Align with Top Academic Standards

Depok, 16 August 2024 - In recent months, the Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII) has made significant progress on the global stage. The university’s growing reputation is attributed to its alignment with the high academic standards of leading global institutions, highlighted by its recent success in implementing dual degree programs with top UK universities.

UIII's commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration has garnered recognition from prestigious institutions and academic communities worldwide. This acknowledgment underscores UIII’s efforts to establish itself as a key player in global higher education.

Prof. Dr. Jamhari Makruf, Rector of UIII, explains that the university’s focus on integrating advanced educational practices and fostering international partnerships, such as the dual degree programs with renowned UK universities, has been crucial to its recent achievements. He asserts that these strategies are essential for UIII’s emergence among the world’s foremost academic institutions.

Chaider S. Bamualim, PhD, University Secretary, emphasizes that UIII’s adherence to rigorous international standards has been pivotal in enhancing its global reputation. Additionally, Dr.Phil. Syafiq Hasyim, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and senior lecturer at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, notes that “the university’s strategic initiatives, including the dual degree programs, are designed to strengthen its position and contribute significantly to the global academic community.”

Looking ahead, UIII will advance its international collaboration with LPDP through an upcoming initiative in January 2025, offering Master’s dual degree scholarships. Saiful Umam, PhD, Director of Research and Strategic Partnerships, explains, “This partnership is designed to support students enrolled in these innovative programs, highlighting our mutual commitment to fostering academic excellence and enhancing global engagement.”

UIII’s initiatives, such as its innovative dual degree programs and strategic collaborations with leading universities, highlight its dedication to creating a world-class academic environment. According to Riefqi Muna, PhD, Head of the Academic Senate, “these advancements not only showcase UIII’s academic rigor but also its ambition to play a significant role in the international academic arena.”

The importance of these international collaborations extends to enhancing UIII’s ongoing accreditation process. Suparto, PhD, Head of the Quality Assurance Office at UIII, underscores that such partnerships are crucial for meeting and exceeding global accreditation standards. “Engaging with top-tier institutions and implementing dual degree programs not only elevates the university's academic profile but also aligns with the rigorous criteria required for prestigious accreditations,” he explains. These international collaborations, therefore, play a pivotal role in ensuring that UIII maintains its commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in higher education.
