UIII.AC.ID, DEPOK - In a ceremony held on December 16, 2023, the Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) witnessed the official oath-taking of the newly elected cabinet of the International Student Association (ISA), marking the beginning of a new chapter for the diverse and vibrant international student community at UIII.
The ceremony, held in the auditorium of the university, was attended by faculty members, students, and esteemed guests. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation as the newly elected cabinet members prepared to take on their responsibilities in leading the ISA, an organization that plays a crucial role in fostering cultural exchange and unity among international students.
The highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the oath of office to the newly elected cabinet members. Each member pledged to uphold the values and objectives of the ISA, to work tirelessly for the betterment of the international student community, and to promote cross-cultural understanding and cooperation within the university.
The newly elected president, Mr. Hamad Shoukat, an MA in Political Science student from Pakistan, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and his team. In his inaugural address, he outlined the vision for the upcoming term, emphasizing inclusivity, collaboration, and the enhancement of the overall international student experience at UIII.
"I am honored to lead such a dynamic group of individuals who represent the diverse tapestry of cultures here at UIII. I take pride in my Cabinet, and I sincerely hope that we can live up to the expectations of our international students," President Hamad remarked.
The event concluded with a reception, where attendees had the opportunity to congratulate the new cabinet members, engage in conversations that further promoted cultural exchange, and enjoy a delightful spread of snacks and refreshments.
The UIII International Student Association, founded on November 18, 2022, plays a crucial role in bridging gaps between students from different backgrounds and fostering a sense of community within the university. The newly elected cabinet brings with it a wealth of experience and a commitment to building on the successes of the past, promising an exciting and fulfilling experience for international students at UIII in the coming term.
