In a move to enhance the arrival experience for its international students, Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) has officially launched an airport pick-up service.
Managed by the Office of Student Affairs and International Services and executed by the International Student Association (ISA), the service aims to provide a seamless transition for new students arriving at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
Recognizing the challenges faced by international students upon arrival in a new country, UIII has taken proactive measures to ensure a warm and hassle-free welcome. The airport pick-up service is designed not only to ease logistical concerns but also to create a positive first impression of the university and Indonesia as a whole.
The ISA, composed of current international students, will play a crucial role in executing the service. From coordinating arrival details to assisting with transportation and initial campus orientation, the team ensures that every arriving student feels supported and informed.
"We understand that arriving in a new country can be daunting, especially after long flights and unfamiliar surroundings. This service reflects our commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for our international community," said M. Yazid, Lc, Head of the Office of Student Affairs and International Services.
The pick-up service will operate in alignment with students' arrival schedules, ensuring flexibility and efficiency. Incoming students are encouraged to coordinate their arrival details with the International Office in advance to take full advantage of this initiative.
With this new service, UIII reaffirms its dedication to providing exceptional support services especially for its international students, reinforcing its status as a globally inclusive academic institution.
