Depok, October 20, 2024 – Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) successfully held the much-anticipated "SIM Card Service Day" in collaboration with leading telecommunications provider Telkomsel. The event, organized by the UIII Office of Student Affairs and International Services in collaboration with the International Students Association (ISA), took place on Sunday, October 20, 2024, in one of the student residence halls.
The event aimed to provide seamless mobile connectivity to UIII’s international student community, offering them an efficient way to obtain and activate Telkomsel SIM cards. This initiative is part of UIII’s ongoing efforts to support international students as they settle into life in Indonesia.
Students were required to bring their passports and mobile phones to the event, which ensured the process of obtaining a SIM card was quick and straightforward. With dedicated service stations set up at the dormitory lobby, Telkomsel representatives assisted students with the registration, activation, and setup of their new SIM cards, ensuring full compliance with Indonesia’s mobile regulations.
The “SIM Card Service Day” reflects UIII's commitment to fostering a supportive and welcoming environment for its diverse student body, especially as many of the students are new to the country. Events like these not only address practical needs but also help international students feel more connected to their new surroundings.
