Moroccan Ambassador's Message on Working Together for a Peaceful and Just Future

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Jakarta and Singapore, His Excellency Mr. Ouadia Benabdellah, delivered a message on the importance of collaboration for a more peaceful and equitable future for everyone at an international event held on April 13, 2023, at Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) in collaboration with the Executive Board of Nahdhatul Ulama (PBNU). The forum aimed to build peace between Palestine and Israel on the basis of Sunni jurisprudence.
Ambassador Benabdellah emphasized that collaboration can enrich and advance everyone by fostering discovery, mutual respect, and the exchange of ideas, and diversify our perspectives and become more receptive, thereby enriching our culture and methods of thinking. He also praised UIII's diversity, calling it a remarkable institution, and its diversity of international students and faculty truly extraordinary.
When asked about the possibility of a partnership between the Moroccan embassy and UIII to organize a cultural event, Ambassador Benabdellah encouraged students to coordinate events and collaborate with the embassy. Drawing on his own experience as a university student, he said, "As an embassy, we would be honored to collaborate with you on this project."
The Ambassador's message is particularly relevant as the world faces numerous challenges. To create a more peaceful and just future, we must work together, respect diversity, and promote research and cultural exchange.
In conclusion, the Moroccan Ambassador's visit to UIII delivered an uplifting message to students and faculty. We must heed his appeal to foster a brighter future for all by working together.
