UIII and Bank Mandiri to build multifunctional sports center on Campus

UIII.AC.ID, DEPOK - Together with PT Bank Mandiri, the International Islamic University of Indonesia (UIII), located in Depok, West Java, is building a multifunctional sports center on UIII campus area.

On Wednesday, June 29, 2022, the Rector of UIII, Professor Komaruddin Hidayat, along with university officials and representatives from PT Bank Mandiri, participated in a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of their collaboration.

In his remarks, Komaruddin Hidayat disclosed that PT Bank Mandiri had been one of UIII's partners from the university's establishment until the present day. In addition, he also considered that UIII would grow bigger, and with more students on this campus, it would be an investment potential, especially for Bank Mandiri.

Sulaeman, the Regional CEO for Region V at Bank Mandiri, expressed his optimism. "We hope that through this partnership, PT. Bank Mandiri will be able to provide future support in the field of education. We are also committed to offering UIII our full support and help." He saw similarities between the vision and mission of UIII and PT Bank Mandiri's development of the education system.

On his first visit to UIII, Sulaeman saw the university's promising future. “UIII can contribute to the development of human resources in Indonesia and internationally.” This is one aspect of the UIII campus developments that he admires.

The Rector of UIII, followed by the Secretary of the University, Dr. Chaider S. Bamualim, and representatives from Bank Mandiri, carried out the groundbreaking procession which took place at the Tennis Court. This area was formerly owned by RRI, and was located directly across the female Student Residence at UIII. (AA/ANJ)
