In addition, in his view, this event can be an effort to scale up research programs in Indonesia to a whole new level.
"So, with an international academic atmosphere, world standards, we feel this can be a model for the development of academic activities in Indonesia, as well as our efforts to bring research in Indonesia to what we have long envisioned as world-class," said Noorhaidi.
This event is indeed international level because most of speakers and participants come from various countries. He noted that participants came from 18 to 19 countries. It is hoped that this international event can be an acknowledgment of Indonesia's academic credentials.
Meanwhile, one of the Chairs of ENIS/NISIS-MIDA Summer School 2022, Mercedes Volait, feels that at this event, she is well received, and the events that have been run so far are going well and well organized. She enjoyed being the keynote speaker where she has received comments and questions.
"So far very good, and I think it was very well organized, we were warmly welcomed, and it was interesting to deliver the keynote speech here, and raised a lot of questions, and also we did this summer school every year. What was interesting for us is that many people attended from different universities, so this for us is quite unusual, so yeah.. very good," said Mercedes.
