As a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH) that has been established for years, UI is ready to partner with UIII which is planning to start its first academic year this September. Various potential partnerships were also discussed in the meeting, like Islamic Studies developments in both universities, research center collaboration, and such.

Having concluded the introduction meeting, UIII Rector Prof. Komaruddin Hidayat and other UIII academics accompanied the guests to visit the construction site. During the visit, UI academicians continued to share their knowledge and experiences about university development and maintenance, in addition to what had already been mentioned at the meeting.

While touring UIII’s Three Pillars (rectorate building, mosque, and library), Dedi Priadi said that he was really impressed by the UIII’s Master Plan, stating that the concept was very modern and out of the box. He believed that UIII Campus would be able to host and facilitate domestic and international students comfortably and conveniently in the near future. Dedi Priadi also hoped that with UIII’s presence in the higher education sector in Indonesia, both universities could build and maintain strong partnerships in various sectors to revolutionize and improve the capabilities and competitiveness of UI and UIII’s future students among students from other world class universities.

With that goal in mind, it is expected that the UI-UIII collaboration will be able to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the list of the world's most popular study destinations. Besides, it can also accelerate UIII’s mission to promote Indonesian Islamic cultures as part of world civilizations. (aa)
