Depok — The Center for Quality Assurance (CQA) of Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) organized a Technical Guidance (Bimbingan Teknis/Bimtek) session on the management of Lecturer Workload (BKD) and Academic Rank (Jabatan Akademik Dosen/JAD) through the SISTER application. The program was designed to strengthen the competencies of faculty administrators while promoting effective collaboration between faculties and the university in supporting academic quality assurance.

The technical guidance brought together administrative representatives from the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Technology, the Directorate of Academic Administration, the Information Technology Center, and the Center for Quality Assurance (CQA). The event was attended by Esa Bayu Rianto, S.I.P.; Ratu Balqis, S.Tr.Kom.; Syahrul Miladi Firmansyah, S.E.; Muhammad Sufyan As-Tsauri, M.Pd.; Afra Fahira, S.Pd.; Alif Rohman Mustaqim, S.E.; Fitri Pangestu Noer Anggrainy, M.Pd.; Muhammad Nahrowi, S.Tr.Kom., M.Cs.; Teguh Suhartono, S.Kom.; Maulana Kevin Pradana, S.Kom., MTA.; Regiani Yunistika, M.Ed.; Yusuf Anbar Firdausi, M.Hum.; and Riski Maulana, S.H., representing CQA UIII.

Opening the session, Rahma Octaviani, S.E., M.Ak., CHRP., CIIQA, emphasized that the implementation of BKD and JAD requires close coordination among faculties and university support units. She noted that the technical guidance serves as a strategic initiative to strengthen institutional collaboration while ensuring that academic administration is carried out in a systematic, accountable, and efficient manner.

The training was delivered by Rahma Octaviani, S.E., M.Ak., CHRP., CIIQA, from the Academic Performance Management Unit under CQA. During the session, participants received comprehensive guidance on managing BKD and JAD through the SISTER platform, covering user roles and responsibilities, period management, assessor assignments, Lecturer Workload Report (LKD) validation, reporting procedures, BKD recapitulation, synchronization with the Higher Education Database (PD-Dikti), and the latest applicable regulations.

In her presentation, Rahma highlighted that BKD and JAD are integral components of the higher education quality assurance system. BKD functions as an instrument for measuring and evaluating lecturers’ performance in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, while JAD recognizes lecturers’ academic achievements and professional competence through academic rank advancement. Together, these mechanisms contribute to improving academic quality, strengthening professionalism, and supporting lecturers’ long-term career development.

Beyond regulatory updates, the session also provided practical hands-on training on the use of the SISTER application. Participants learned how to manage lecturer performance planning, submit BKD reports, process academic rank applications, and verify supporting documents required for lecturer professional allowances and professors’ honorary allowances. The practical exercises aimed to equip faculty administrators with the knowledge and technical skills needed to manage these processes accurately and efficiently.

Through this initiative, CQA UIII reaffirms its commitment to strengthening institutional quality assurance by enhancing the competencies of faculty administrators. By promoting effective, transparent, accountable, and integrated management of BKD and JAD, UIII continues to support excellence in academic governance and the sustainable professional development of its lecturers.
