Sandwich Program

Overview of Sandwich Program

The Sandwich Program is a program where the student continues to be registered at their home university, UIII, while studying for 1 semester or 2 semesters at another university. For example, the student may study for their first two years at UIII, study at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) for the third year, and then return to their home university to complete their studies.

Requirement

To apply for the sandwich program, you must be a Ph.D. student and must be in good academic standing. Applicants must get permission for acceptance from the supervisor before submission. If you do not have this permission, UIII cannot accept your application form. Additionally, in order to apply for the program, you must be nominated by your Department.

When to Apply and Start

You should complete your second year at the UIII. Before applying to the program, decide your entry period (when to start and length of stay) and check the application submission period.

The period spent on a study placement must not exceed two semesters or one-third of the total length of the course being undertaken at the UIII. The study placement must meet the qualifications required by the UIII. You must also study for at least half of your time at the UIII.
