Depok, October 15, 2024 — Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) welcomed officers from the Depok Immigration Office to campus for the “Immigration Goes to Campus” event, designed to simplify stay permit (ITAS) processing for UIII’s foreign students. Organized by the International Office and Student Affairs, the event took place on the first floor of the Rectorate Building and provided a convenient, on-site solution for international students to complete essential immigration requirements.
The program offered services such as photograph capturing and biometric registration, essential steps in the ITAS application process. This initiative aimed to facilitate international students’ residency permits directly on campus, saving time and reducing administrative burdens for students.
“We’re delighted to work closely with the Depok Immigration Office to make the process as seamless as possible for our students,” said M. Yazid, Lc, Head of UIII’s International Office and Student Affairs. “This initiative underscores our commitment to creating a supportive environment for our international students and helping ease the administrative process for their visas.”
One student from Pakistan, Khizer Hayat, shared his experience, stating that the program made the visa process much easier. “It definitely helped simplify the process, and I didn’t need to go to the immigration office on my own. They guided me on what to do, and it took less time. This really helps,” he said.
Through this collaborative effort, UIII reaffirms its dedication to enhancing the student experience by minimizing administrative challenges and ensuring a smooth transition for its global community. The “Immigration Goes to Campus” event highlights UIII’s proactive approach in supporting the needs of its international student body, allowing them to fulfill necessary legal requirements without needing to visit external immigration offices.
