Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) recently held a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) on the theme "Digital-Based Internal Quality Audits (AMI)," organized by the Quality Assurance Center (PPM) in collaboration with Telkom University, Bandung. The event took place on August 28, 2024, in the Executive Meeting Room on the 4th floor of the UIII Rectorate Building.
The FGD featured two speakers from Telkom University, Dr. Ade Romadhony, S.T., M.T., and Hardian Kokoh Pambudi, S.T., M.T., MBA., ESLog. Attending the event were heads of study programs from four faculties, members of the Quality Assurance Task Forces (GJM), and educational staff members at UIII.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Phil. Syafiq Hasyim, M.A., Acting Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Human Resources at UIII, expressed his full support for the initiative. "I am fully committed to supporting all activities conducted by the PPM that are beneficial to the advancement and development of UIII's accreditation process," he stated.
Suparto, Ph.D., Head of the PPM UIII, highlighted that while UIII has already implemented internal quality audits, the process remains manual. "To date, we have been conducting internal quality audits manually, and there have been some technical challenges. With this training, we hope that as a newly established university, we can transition to a digital audit process in the future," he explained.
He further emphasized the importance of digitalizing systems. "The process of digitalizing a system must be built and designed properly. This aims to provide ease and efficiency in conducting internal quality audits, which will undoubtedly contribute to enhancing the quality and standards of our university," he added.
The FGD started with the presentations from the two speakers, followed by a practical session on conducting internal quality audits using Telkom University's Audit Management System (AMES) application. The session also featured a Q&A session between the participants and the speakers. The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and a lunch gathering.
This initiative marks a significant step toward the digital transformation of UIII's quality assurance processes, setting a foundation for more efficient and effective internal audits in the future. This signifies UIII’s commitment to being a “smart campus” equipped with advanced digital technology.
