As the extended arm of the Quality Assurance Center (PPM) at the faculty level, the Quality Assurance Unit (GJM) from all four faculties at UIII has outlined their strategic vision for 2025 during an evaluation and projection meeting held on December 19, 2024. The primary focus of the meeting was to review the points of indicators from the 2024 Internal Quality Audit (AMI) to further be taken as the projection of quality assurance activities for UIII in 2025.
Suparto, Ph.D., Head of the Center of Quality Assurance (PPM) at UIII, emphasized the necessity of an integrated system moving forward. "One primary takeaway is the need to develop a Quality Assurance System (QAS) capable of supporting the efficient and effective implementation of Internal Quality Audits (AMI) while simplifying the assessment and adjustment of the 82 indicators regulated under Higher Education National Standard (SN-Dikti) to produce targeted recommendations," he stated.
The event also welcomed UIII Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Phil. Syafiq Hasyim, MA., who expressed appreciation for GJM's role as the spearhead of Internal Quality Audits (AMI) implementation at UIII. "The implementation of AMI is not only a legal obligation but also our commitment to maintaining the quality of higher education. Proper data preparation and system management are key to success," he remarked.
Looking ahead, there is a pressing need for a system designed to facilitate the effective implementation of AMI. "The system we develop must not only address current challenges but also provide the optimal support for achieving quality standards," Dr. Hasyim remarked.
Dr. Suparto, Ph.D., concluded the meeting by emphasizing the importance of aligning SN-Dikti indicators with UIII’s specific context to ensure more efficient and impactful internal quality audits in the future. "The development of the system and refinement of these indicators will simplify the auditors' tasks, enabling them to pinpoint findings with precision and offer well-informed, actionable recommendations," he stated.
Through these strategic initiatives, PPM and GJM are optimistic about establishing a more robust quality assurance system, supporting UIII in realizing its vision of becoming a world-class university excelling in academic quality and management standards.
