UIII.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA - The Faculty of Education (FoE) of Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) traveled to Yogyakarta to do a study excursion at several educational institutions in this province on September 15 & 16, 2022. This visit was led by the Dean of FoE, Prof. Nina Nurmila, and accompanied by some lecturers of FoE. The mission of this trip is to produce graduates who have exposure to the diversity of thoughts and practices.
The UIII delegate visited the Postgraduate Program at the Faculty of Education of Yogyakarta State University (UNY), the Faculty of Psychology of Gadjah Mada University (UGM), and Pabelan Islamic Boarding School on the last day.
On a visit to each institution, the FoE aims get to know the program in each place, a visit to UNY to know about educational technology there, including learning technology, research, and evaluation of education and education management.
Meanwhile, the visit to the Postgraduate Program at the Faculty of Psychology UGM aims to learn the study of mind, brain, and performance and applied psychometry. On the last visit to Pondok Pesantren Pabelan, the FoE promotes UIII, so the students will know UIII and hope they will be interested in continuing their postgraduate studies at UIII.
On this trip, the students of FoE gave a presentation at every institution about their program at UIII. They share their experiences with the visited institutions on their knowledge in studying at the Faculty of Education, UIII.
Prof. Nina revealed that this first trip was full of important agenda because it was only carried out three days for visits to three educational institutions. In her view, this comparative study program is crucial for UIII in understanding different educational institutions in the region while promoting UIII for future collaboration. (ANJ)
