Dual Master’s Degree Program UIII – The University of Edinburgh

The Dual Degree Program in the Faculty of Islamic Studies at UIII in collaboration with The University of Edinburgh, UK, allows MA Islamic Studies students from UIII to earn two academic degrees within one study period (two years). These degrees are:

  • MA in Islamic Studies from UIII (first year)
  • MSc in Globalised Muslim World from The University of Edinburgh (second year)

This program is a result of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on July 27, 2022, supported by the Directorate General of Islamic Education of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The program started in September 2023, with eight students as the recipients of the Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship (BIB) for the Dual Degree Program at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, UIII, and the HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for the Study of Islam in the Contemporary World at The University of Edinburgh.
