Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) has officially partnered with Sentra Medika Hospital Cisalak on health facility expansion, marked by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by UIII Rector Prof. Jamhari and Sentra Medika Hospital’s Director, dr. Natalia Sentosa, on November 7, 2024.
The first realization of this partnership involves developing a new parking facility on UIII’s land, spanning 3,900 square meters. The parking area will be managed by PT Sehati Karena Satu (SEKARSA), creating a mutually beneficial arrangement.
Vice-Rector for Planning, Finance, and Business Development, Prof. Amsal Bakhtiar, emphasized that this collaboration not only boosts UIII’s revenue but also aligns with its goal of financial independence. “Through this partnership, UIII stands to gain by sharing in the profits from the parking facilities, moving us closer to self-sufficiency,” he stated.
Beyond financial benefits, the partnership builds upon an ongoing collaboration in healthcare services for UIII students, further easing students’ access to medical care. “This agreement provides direct access to the hospital from the campus, making it simpler for students and staff to receive care without having to go through the main road. Emergency access, especially for ambulances, will also be greatly improved,” said Prof. Amsal.
Looking ahead, Prof. Amsal noted that the partnership could also support UIII’s academic expansion, particularly if a Nursing Study Program is launched. “Next year, if we establish a nursing program, Sentra Medika Hospital’s resources and facilities will be invaluable for our students’ practical training,” he added.
On the other side, dr. Natalia Sentosa of Sentra Medika Hospital expressed hope that this partnership would foster closer ties between UIII and Sentra Medika Hospital, particularly in education. “We envision a collaborative future in education and medical services, alongside the parking facility project. May our cooperation with UIII continue to thrive, and may we achieve progress together,” she concluded.
This partnership reflects UIII’s commitment to enhancing student facilities and healthcare access while creating synergies that benefit both the academic and local communities.
