The Faculty of Islamic Studies (FIS) UIII has reached an agreement to collaborate with the Faculty of Da’wah (Dakwah) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). On September 18, 2023, the Deans of both faculties, Prof. Noorhaidi Hasan (UIII) and Dr Endad Musaddad (UIN SMH Banten), signed the MoU to establish the partnership.
This MoU with UIN Banten, initiated through the work of Prof. Yanwar Pribadi, the Secretary of the Faculty of Islamic Studies UIII, was warmly welcomed by the faculty. This collaboration will have a positive impact on both institutions.
“This MoU could be a significant opportunity for us (FIS) to expand our network on a national and international scale.” Stated Prof. Noorhaidi.
By signing this MoU, both institutions aim to strengthen their relationship, with a particular emphasis on promoting religious moderation within the context of higher education. The areas of focus under this collaboration include education, research, and human resource development. Furthermore, they will have the opportunity to organize joint seminars on relevant topics.
Through this collaboration, the MoU will establish a strong foundation for a mutually beneficial relationship. Furthermore, as both institutions are established under the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, there is great potential for expanding this collaboration in the future.
