Bogor — The Faculty of Education (FoE) at Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) and Dompet Dhuafa signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at SMART Ekselensia Indonesia School in Bogor. The agreement covers cooperation in education, research, community service, and an internship program for FoE students.

The agreement was signed in the morning by Prof. Nina Nurmila, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Education at UIII, and Asep Hendriana, Director of Educational Programs at Dompet Dhuafa, on behalf of Yayasan Pendidikan Umar Usman, the education foundation established by Dompet Dhuafa. The ceremony was attended by FoE’s leadership team, teachers of SMART Ekselensia Indonesia School, FoE students, and the school’s pupils.

The agreement is valid for five years. Specific programs under each area of cooperation will be set out in separate implementation agreements between the two parties.

The collaboration moved into practice right after the signing. Master’s students from Estudia, the FoE student organization, together with FoE doctoral students, ran a community service program for nearly 100 pupils. The program covered six sessions: gender in Islam, STEM-based learning, empathy and inclusivity, objective measurement, basic counseling skills for teachers, and English.
