The atmosphere was charged with energy on Saturday, June 22, 2025, as students from the Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) participated in the Depok Run Festival 2025. Members of the UIII Running Club (URC) joined hundreds of other participants for the 5K race, held at the Depok City Hall in celebration of the city’s 26th anniversary and the 79th Bhayangkara Day.

For the students, this event was more than just running. It was about fostering a sense of belonging and promoting a healthy lifestyle within their community. According to Muhammad Aqshadigrama, the coordinator of the URC, events like the Depok Run Festival play an important role in boosting student spirit and making their time in Depok more meaningful.

“UIII students can be active participants in events like this because they create a positive environment and build a sense of togetherness,” Aqsha said. “We’re committed to joining more of these events in the future. They become cherished memories that stay with us long after we graduate.”

Among the students who took part in the run were Agus Firmansyah and Muhammad Akbar Rahmadi from the MPP program, as well as Ulfia Muru’ah, Jihan Ariqatur Rafiah, and Khansa Asiah Ismet from the Education program, all eager to rise to the challenge and make their mark in the race.

The event was made even more special when the group met Depok Mayor Supian Suri, who welcomed their participation and expressed a hope for more student involvement in future events. The mayor also posed for a group selfie with the URC members — a memorable moment that captured the spirit of camaraderie and collaboration.

For the students of UIII, the Depok Run Festival 2025 was more than crossing the finish line. It’s about building connections, making memories, and embracing a healthier, more active lifestyle — lessons that will carry forward throughout their university journey and beyond.
