Once you’ve secured your student visa and met the entry requirements, your arrival in
Indonesia will be followed by the issuance of Electronic Limited Stay Permit (e-ITAS), which
will be granted automatically online upon arrival. This means there is no need to visit an
immigration office to obtain these permits.

Provisions and Restrictions for Visa & ITAS Holders
Holding a Visa and a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) in Indonesia comes with specific rights as well as legal responsibilities. Understanding these is essential to ensure your stay remains lawful and trouble-free.

Permitted Activities
As a holder of an ITAS, you are allowed to:

• Participate in educational activities at your institution
• Bring eligible family members to reside with you in Indonesia
• Travel in and out of the country, provided your Re-Entry Permit remains valid
• Engage in tourism or visit friends and relatives.
  
  Prohibited Activities
  The ITAS does not allow the following:
• Any form of employment or work
• Selling goods or services
• Receiving any payment, wages, or compensation from individuals or organizations based
  in Indonesia.

  You must always comply with Indonesian laws and immigration regulations.
  
  Overstaying your permit or violating its conditions may result in fines, deportation, or legal
  proceedings.
  
  The ITAS is available in two formats: electronic (e-ITAS) and physical card (issued by the
  immigration office upon request or requirement).
  
  ITAS Extension
  To continue your legal stay in Indonesia throughout your academic program, you must renew
  your ITAS within the required timeframe. It is strongly advised to monitor the expiration date
