Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) has formalized a new partnership with PT Huasan Teknologi Indonesia, the local arm of H3C—a leading global provider of digital solutions and IT infrastructure headquartered in Hangzhou, China. The partnership aims to enhance the university’s information technology infrastructure, strengthen research collaboration, and develop student competencies in the digital sector.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on June 30, 2025, at UIII’s campus in Depok, West Java, by UIII Rector Prof. Dr. Jamhari, MA, and Managing Director of PT Huasan Teknologi Indonesia, George Xu.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Jamhari highlighted the mutual value the partnership would bring. “It is very good to have this partnership,” he said. “This university is a project of our government. Many of our students come from different countries, so this is also a good way for your company to promote your products while making our students more digitally capable.”

George Xu expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration and described how it aligns with the company’s mission in Indonesia. “Although we are a Chinese company, we are a product of cooperation between American and Chinese enterprises. We are truly international, with over 20 offices outside China covering Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and America.”

He explained that PT Huasan Teknologi Indonesia has been operating in Indonesia for just over four years but is committed to supporting the country’s ICT development. “Since we came to this market, we have been trying to contribute to building ICT applications and infrastructure. We hope to foster closer cooperation with this university. We can help deliver training, provide innovative solutions at affordable prices, and create an environment for innovation and research in IT,” he said.

The MoU provides a framework for various initiatives, including certifications in network security and server management, technical workshops, research support, paid internships, and participation in H3C Global Innovation Day in China. The agreement will remain in effect for five years and can be extended upon mutual consent.

Both institutions expressed optimism that the collaboration will help equip UIII students with practical skills and open new avenues for technological innovation. By combining UIII’s academic resources with H3C’s expertise in next-generation digital infrastructure, the partnership is expected to accelerate the development of a modern learning environment that meets international standards.
