Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) and Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia (UNUSIA) formalized a new partnership on December 11, 2025 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at UIII’s campus in Depok. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in education, research, community engagement, and institutional development.
The MoU was signed by UIII Rector Prof. Dr. Jamhari, MA and UNUSIA Acting Rector dr. Syahrizal Syarif, MPH., Ph.D., marking a renewed commitment to strengthening collaboration between the two institutions.
In his remarks, UIII Rector Prof. Jamhari highlighted the importance of this partnership in enriching Indonesia’s Islamic higher education sector.
“This collaboration brings together two institutions with a shared mission to advance knowledge and contribute to society. We believe this partnership will open new academic opportunities and reinforce the values we both uphold,” he said.
UNUSIA Acting Rector Dr. Syahrizal Syarif emphasized the significance of the partnership in strengthening the role of Indonesian Islam. “At UNUSIA, especially through our Faculty of Islam Nusantara, we are committed to advancing Indonesian Islam as a source of wisdom, scholarship, and moderation. Collaborating with UIII allows us to amplify this mission and enrich the academic landscape together,” he stated.
The agreement will serve as a foundation for future joint initiatives and is valid for five years, with the possibility of extension based on mutual consent. Both universities look forward to building meaningful programs that support their missions and benefit the broader community.
