Student Insurance

As part of its strong commitment to the health and well-being of its students, Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) automatically enrolls all scholarship recipients in a health insurance program provided by BNI Life Insurance. This insurance is designed to ensure that students have access to quality healthcare services throughout their academic journey in
Indonesia, without the burden of unexpected medical costs.

The program provides both inpatient and outpatient coverage, helping students stay focused on their studies with the assurance that they are protected against potential health issues.

Insurance Plans: IP750 and OP250

BNI Life offers two types of policies for UIII students:


1. IP750 (Inpatient Plan 750|
Ÿ Coverage: Hospital admissions due to illness or accidentsh
Ÿ Benefits: Includes daily hospitalization benefits, room and board, surgeries, and other
inpatient medical expenses, subject to an annual maximum limith
Ÿ Maximum Duration: Up to 120 days of hospitalization per year.


2. OP250 (Outpatient Plan 250|
Ÿ Coverage: Outpatient treatments such as general and specialist consultations, diagnostic
tests, medications, and laboratory proceduresh
Ÿ Benefits: Reimbursement is available up to a certain annual limit, based on submitted
receipts and medical documentation.
Detailed information on limits, exclusions, and specific benefits can be found in the policy document distributed to each student. All students are advised to read and understand the terms of their coverage.

Claims Submission via BNI Life Mobile Application
UIII strongly encourages students to manage and submit their claims independently using the
BNI Life mobile application, which is available for both Android and iOS. This digital approach simplifies the process and shortens claim processing times

Features of the BNI Life App:

Online Claim Submission: Upload your medical receipts, prescriptions, and related
documents directly through the app, without the need for hard copiesh
Ÿ Access to Policy Information: View your policy details, track your remaining benefits, and
monitor your claim history in real timeh
Ÿ Customer Service Support: Contact BNI Life directly through the app for assistance
regarding claims or policy informationh
Ÿ Notifications: Receive real-time updates on claim status and policy announcements.


Students should download and register on the app as soon as they receive their insurance
credentials to ensure they are ready to submit claims when needed.

Manual Claim Submission (Alternative Method)

For students unable to use the mobile app, claims may be submitted manually by preparing
and sending the required documents:

Ÿ Medical summary from the treating physicianh
Ÿ Original payment receipts and detailed billing breakdownsh
Ÿ Copies of diagnostic test results, prescriptions, or other supporting documents, if

Claims are typically processed within 7 to 14 working days, depending on the completeness
of the documentation and verification procedures.
