Student Code of Conduct

At UIII, the Student Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for student behavior both on and off campus. It serves as a framework to promote integrity, respect, academic honesty, and responsibility—ensuring a safe, inclusive, and ethical academic environment for all. The Code supports the university’s mission to nurture globally-minded citizens committed to excellence and moral conduct.

UIII Student Code of Conduct

UIII is committed to fostering an environment that supports academic excellence, mutual respect, cultural diversity, and personal integrity. The following Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all students as members of the UIII academic community.

1. Academic Integrity
Students are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic honesty. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Avoiding plagiarism, cheating, and fabrication of data or sources.
  • Completing coursework independently unless collaboration is expressly permitted.
  • Properly citing all references and acknowledging the contributions of others.

 

2. Respect and Inclusivity
Students shall treat all members of the university community with dignity and respect, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, or background.

  • Engage in respectful dialogue and academic discourse.
  • Refrain from discriminatory language or behavior.
  • Promote a welcoming environment for all.


3. Responsible Use of University Resources
Students must use university facilities, technology, and resources ethically and responsibly.

  • Do not misuse or damage university property.
  • Follow IT and digital communication policies.
  • Protect personal and institutional data.


4. Personal Conduct
Students are expected to maintain behavior that reflects positively on themselves and the university.

  • Dress appropriately and behave respectfully on campus.
  • Refrain from acts of violence, harassment, or misconduct.
  • Abide by local laws and cultural norms during off-campus activities.


5. Participation and Engagement
Students are encouraged to take an active role in their academic and social development.

  • Attend classes and academic activities regularly.
  • Participate in university events and student organizations.
  • Maintain open communication with faculty and administrative staff.


6. Disciplinary Actions
Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary measures, including warnings, suspension, or dismissal, depending on the severity of the offense. All cases will be handled in accordance with the university’s formal procedures and with due process.
