At Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII), student life extends far beyond academic
lectures and research. One of the most dynamic aspects of campus life is sports—a space
where students, lecturers, and staff come together to move, compete, and build lasting
friendships. Sports at UIII are not just about athleticism, but about fostering a holistic student
experience rooted in well-being, teamwork, and international spirit.
The UIII Tennis Club (UTC) is an open and inclusive community that welcomes everyone—students, lecturers, and staff alike. As shown in the image above, the sessions are designed especially for beginners, making it easy for anyone to join, regardless of skill level. Practices are held on weekend mornings and offer a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. More than just a sport, the tennis club is a place for starting your day right, meeting new people, and building community through shared routines.
UIII’s basketball scene is gaining momentum. In a recent friendly match, the university’s team faced off against Universitas Indonesia (UI), one of Indonesia’s most prominent institutions. These matches bring out the best of UIII’s athletic talent and team spirit, while also serving as a way to connect with students from other campuses. The friendly rivalry was not only intense but also an important step in placing UIII on the map of student sports in Indonesia
Football remains one of the most popular sports on campus. Recently, UIII’s football team played a friendly match against Nusa University Sukabumi. These inter-university encounters go beyond just scoring goals—they’re about building sportsmanship, sharpening teamwork, and developing leadership under pressure. With each game, the football team shows how sport can be both a powerful training ground and a bridge between institutions.
