Jakarta, June 4, 2025 — Prof. Dian Masyita, Dean of UIII Faculty of Economics and Business, has officially been appointed as a Member of the Komite Pengembangan Keuangan Syariah (KPKS) or the Sharia Finance Development Committee, following a rigorous selection process conducted by the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
The appointment was formalized on May 21, 2025, with Prof. Dian commencing her term on June 1, 2025. She will serve on the committee until May 31, 2027. This appointment recognizes her extensive academic and professional contributions to the field of Islamic finance in Indonesia.
OJK expressed its confidence that Prof. Dian’s scholarly expertise and hands-on experience in the sharia financial sector would play a crucial role in strengthening and advancing Islamic finance in the country.
As part of the formal onboarding process, Prof. Dian attended the signing ceremony of the Employment Agreement on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. The event took place at the 23rd Floor of Menara Radius Prawiro, Jl. M.H. Thamrin No. 2, Central Jakarta. The agenda included the contract signing, a KPKS committee meeting, and a networking session.
With this new responsibility, Prof. Dian joins a team of experts dedicated to shaping the future of sharia finance in Indonesia, helping to ensure its growth aligns with national goals and international standards.
Prof. Dian’s appointment holds significance for UIII, especially for the Faculty of Economics and Business, as it reflects the institution’s growing engagement with national developments in Islamic finance. Prof. Dian’s involvement in the committee may open up opportunities for UIII to contribute academic insights to policy discussions and further integrate its research with the evolving landscape of sharia finance in Indonesia.
