DEPOK – The Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) is proud to announce that Bobby Yulandika Putra, a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Economics and Business, has achieved a series of prestigious international milestones with his risk management startup, Prospero Solutions.
Most recently, Prospero was named the “AI-Powered GRC Solution of the Year 2025” by the APAC (Asia-Pacific) Business Insider Awards. This accolade follows Bobby’s recognition as one of APAC Entrepreneur’s “10 Most Renowned CEOs from Indonesia Driving Economic Growth through Innovation”.

Bridging the “98% Gap”
Bobby founded Prospero with a mission to solve a critical issue in the ASEAN economy: the “98% blind spot.” While top-tier banks rely on expensive legacy software, the vast majority of financial institutions—SMEs, fintechs, and cooperatives—are priced out, often managing millions in assets using only spreadsheets.
“We are moving the industry from performing autopsies—reporting on losses that already happened—to monitoring a heartbeat,” Bobby explains.
Research Meets Real-World Impact
At UIII, Bobby works to deepen this impact through rigorous academic research. His doctoral studies focus on answering critical questions about risk frameworks in emerging economies and how behavioral factors influence risk compliance.

“I realized that building technology alone is not enough,” Bobby stated in his admission motivation. “What we truly need in Indonesia is a deep, research-backed understanding of how risk behavior, culture, and economic uncertainty interact.”
Taking Indonesian Innovation to the World
Prospero’s rise from a local innovator to a global contender has been relentless. The 2025 award crowns a journey that has seen the team represent Indonesia at the G20 Summit in India and innovation programs in Russia, before securing a podium finish at the Young Entrepreneur Summit in Germany and a delegate spot at GITEX Europe in Berlin. This track record, highlighted by features in Founders Magazine (Paris) and APAC Entrepreneur (London), proves that their vision has captured the world’s attention.

This momentum extends deep into Southeast Asia, where the team is actively reshaping the regional risk landscape. While Bobby drives strategy, CTO Paul Mandravel recently took the stage in Kuala Lumpur at the Korea-ASEAN AI Youth Festa 2025 to pitch their AI-driven platform. His presentation on democratizing risk management reinforced Prospero’s mission: to deliver a solution that is not only internationally recognized but vital for the economic resilience of ASEAN’s financial institutions.
A Model for Future Scholars
“Prospero’s success is a powerful example of how academic insight can be translated into real-world solutions,” notes Teguh Yudo Wicaksono, Ph.D., Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UIII.
UIII congratulates Bobby Yulandika Putra on these achievements, which perfectly embody the university’s vision of creating scholars who deliver real-world impact.
