Depok, August 8, 2025 – The Jusuf Kalla Library at Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) is more than a place for books—it’s a cornerstone of learning and connection. During its recent field assessment for higher education library accreditation, 7-8 August 2025, the library’s unique role came into sharp focus.

Dr. Phil. Syafiq Hasyim, Head of Library and Culture, shared the library’s story, from its early days to becoming a campus landmark. Visitors from outside UIII flock here, and international professors have donated their books, adding global depth to the collection.

The JK library, as UIII’s main library, stands out for its openness, welcoming both students and the public. Its late hours suit researchers, and its growing international collection reflects UIII’s global ambitions. Beyond books, it hosts discussions and cultural events, making it a lively hub.

Lead assessor Drs. Assessors Dr. Upriyadi, S.S., M.Hum., and Tia Septian, S.Hum., joined him in reviewing the library’s offerings.

The event drew key UIII figures: Dr. Chaider Bamualim (University Secretary), Prof. Dr. Amsal Bakhtiar (Vice Rector for Administration and Finance), Dr. Rifqi Muna (Chair of the University Senate), Prof. Dr. Yanwar Pribadi (Dean of Islamic Studies), Prof. Dr. Nina Nurmila (Dean of Education), Dr. Saiful Umam (Director of Research and Cooperation), M. Yazid, Lc (Head of the International Office), and library staff.
