Introduction

For the purpose of fulfilling the positions of permanent academic personnel within the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) in 2026, the University hereby invites applications from Indonesian citizens to serve as Prospective Permanent Lecturers/Permanent Lecturers, subject to a probationary period of one (1) year, under the following provisions:

General Provisions and Requirements for Applicants:

  1. Indonesian citizens (WNI);
  2. Applicants must be of a maximum age of 59 (fifty-nine) years;
  3. Applicants must not be undergoing any criminal sentence pursuant to a final and binding court decision;
  4. Applicants never been convicted of a criminal offense punishable by imprisonment;
  5. Not a member of a political party or a prohibited organization;
  6. Applicants must not hold a permanent employment contract with another institution or university upon appointment, effective from the commencement of duties at UIII;
  7. a certificate of equivalency from the Ministry responsible for higher education for graduates from foreign universities (for Indonesian citizens); and
  8. Has at least one publication in English in a reputable international journal or at an international conference, preferably indexed by Scopus or Web of Science (WoS).

 

Specific Provisions and Requirements for Applicants:

For applicants for the Lecturer position in the Master’s Program in Science Data

  1. Holds a Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree or an equivalent qualification from an overseas university.
  2. Preference will be given to candidates with postdoctoral experience or industry experience in fields related to Data Science.
  3. Possesses one or more areas of expertise in Statistics/Machine Learning/Advanced Programming/Data Engineering/Artificial Intelligence/Data Analysis and Visualization and Interdisciplinary Domain Research.
  4. Ability to teach and deliver instruction in English.
  5. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge or expertise in disciplines beyond computing and data analytics (e.g., economics, epidemiology, social media analysis, or related fields).

OTHER PROVISIONS

  1. All applicants must comply with and fulfill the stipulated requirements;
  2. Applications submitted beyond the prescribed deadline or deemed incomplete shall not be accepted;
  3. Any failure to read, comprehend, and adhere to this announcement shall rest entirely upon the responsibility of the applicant;
  4. No fees shall be charged at any stage of the selection process;
  5. Should a candidate who has passed the final stage and been accepted subsequently withdraw, the committee reserves the right to appoint the next highest-ranking applicant, as determined by the UIII Leadership Meeting;
  6. The recruitment process shall be conducted solely on the basis of individual merit. Any representation, assurance, or promise of acceptance made by any party under any pretext shall be deemed fraudulent, and applicants are strictly prohibited from offering or providing any inducement whatsoever to the Committee
  7. If an applicant is found to have provided false information or manipulated data during the selection process, the appointment shall be revoked and/or terminated;
  8. All data and documents submitted by applicants during the selection process shall become the property of the committee; and
  9. The decisions of the committee are final and not subject to appeal.
