Essential Needs Before Leaving the Airport

Once you arrive at the nearest airport or train station to the UIII campus, you will need to continue your journey to reach the university. There are several transportation options available to help you get to campus smoothly.

1. SIM Cards and Mobile Data

SIM card providers are located directly in the Arrival Hall after customs. Prominent providers include:

  • Telkomsel
  • XL Axiata
  • Indosat Ooredoo

Each booth offers prepaid packages tailored for tourists and international arrivals. Staff assist with SIM installation and registration using a passport. The process is quick and typically takes under 10 minutes.

2. Currency Exchange and ATMs

There are multiple money changers and ATMs located in the Arrival Hall.

  • Money changers accept major foreign currencies like USD, EUR, SGD, etc.
  • ATMs from banks such as BCA, Mandiri, and BNI support international cards (Visa, Mastercard, sometimes UnionPay).

It’s advisable to exchange some cash for immediate expenses (e.g., transportation or food), though digital payment is increasingly common in Jakarta.

3. Food Stalls and Convenience Stores

Though not a full food court, Terminal 3 Arrival Hall includes several small food stalls and cafes, offering:

  • Coffee
  • Bottled drinks
  • Local snacks (e.g., bread, pastries, packaged meals)
  • Instant noodles and quick bites
  • Common brands such as Roti O or local coffee chains may be available, especially near seating areas and pillars.

Additionally, convenience stores like Circle K or Indomaret Point are located within or just outside the Arrival Hall. They sell:

  • Bottled water
  • SIM card top-ups
  • Toiletries
  • Light food items
  • SIM adapters or phone accessories

4. Toilets and Seating

Restrooms are available throughout the hall and are clearly marked. Seating areas with charging stations are also provided for waiting passengers or those arranging onward travel.
