As part of its commitment to link knowledge with the community, the Annual International Conference on Islam, Science and Society (AICIS+) 2025 at Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) also presents the Science and Education Expo and the Halal and International Culinary Expo at Plaza Tiga Pilar, UIII Campus, Depok, from October 29–30, 2025.

The event features exhibitions on science and education, halal products and international cuisine, talk shows, book discussions, and performances by madrasah students. It begins with a tree-planting ceremony symbolizing a commitment to sustainability.

Highlight activities include book discussions on “Gender Equality Argument: A Quranic Perspective” by Prof. Dr. Nasaruddin Umar, MA, and “Elections in Southeast Asia: Prospects for Freedom, Civil Society, and Protection of Human Rights” by Prof. Farish A. Noor.

UIII Rector Prof. Dr. Jamhari stated: “AICIS+ 2025 is more than an academic conference—it’s a living space of collaboration. Through expos and community activities like these, we want to show how science and Islamic values can translate into real solutions for humanity and sustainability.”

The first day of the expo features a Science Talkshow, madrasah art performances, and public lectures, while the second day includes a Health Talkshow with RS Sentra Medika, an academic discussion “How to Publish in Scopus” by UIII’s Faculty of Economics and Business, and a Halal Product Showcase at the Jusuf Kalla Library, UIII.

“These side events embody the spirit of AICIS+ 2025—that knowledge does not end in the seminar room, but lives through community action and creative works,” said Chair of the AICIS+ 2025 Steering Committee, Prof. Dr. Amsal Bakhtiar.

Meanwhile, Dr. Chaider S. Bamualim, Chair of the Organizing Committee concluded: “We want the public to experience the AICIS+ atmosphere firsthand. From halal cuisine and science exhibitions to madrasah arts, everything here reflects a progressive, creative, and inclusive face of Islam.”
