In an era defined by rapid technological change, environmental crises, and widening social disparities, the Annual International Conference on Islam, Science, and Society (AICIS+) 2025 emerges as a vibrant platform for visionaries to chart new pathways toward an equitable and sustainable world.

AICIS+ 2025 is the rebranded version of the Annual International Conference on Islamic Studies (AICIS), a long-standing academic forum organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The new “plus” signifies a broader interdisciplinary scope, deeper global engagement, and a stronger commitment to exploring transformative ideas that respond to today’s complex challenges.

This year, the event carries the theme: “Islam, Ecotheology, and Technological Transformation: Multidisciplinary Innovations for an Equitable and Sustainable Future.” The conference seeks to address urgent global issues—environmental crises, economic inequality, conflict, and public health—through collaborative and cross-disciplinary dialogue rooted in Islamic values.

Hosted by Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) in Depok, West Java, and sponsored by the Directorate General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, the conference will take place on 29–31 October 2025. Scholars, researchers, policymakers, and innovators are invited to bring forward ideas that challenge conventions and spark change.
