For the purpose of fulfilling the positions of permanent academic personnel within the Faculty of Islamic Studies and the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) in 2025, the University hereby invites applications from Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals to serve as Prospective Permanent Lecturers/Permanent Lecturers, subject to a probationary period of one (1) year, under the following provisions:

 General Provisions and Requirements for Applicants:

  1. Indonesian citizens (WNI) and foreign nationals (WNA);
  2. Applicants must be of a maximum age of 59 (fifty-nine) years;
  3. Applicants must not be undergoing any criminal sentence pursuant to a final and binding court decision;
  4. Applicants have never been convicted of a criminal offense punishable by imprisonment;
  5. Not a member of a political party or a prohibited organization;
  6. Applicants must not hold a permanent employment contract with another institution or university upon appointment, effective from the commencement of duties at UIII.
  7. Holds a doctoral degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (three point zero) on a 4.0 (four point zero) scale, with a maximum study period of 7 (seven) years for graduates from domestic universities, or a certificate of equivalency from the Ministry responsible for higher education for graduates from foreign universities (for Indonesian citizens);
  8. The Faculty of Science and Technology applicants must possess English language proficiency, evidenced by an English proficiency certificate with a minimum TOEFL score of 575 issued by an accredited institution (for Indonesian citizens);
  9. For the Dirasah Islamiyah (Turath Islami) program, applicants must possess Arabic language proficiency, evidenced by an Arabic proficiency certificate with a minimum TOAFL score of 550 issued by an accredited institution (for Indonesian citizens);
  10. The requirements in points 8 and 9 are waived for graduates of foreign universities where English or Arabic is used as the medium of instruction (for Indonesian citizens);
  11. Preferably has publications in nationally accredited journals and reputable international journals (for Indonesian citizens);
  12. Holds an academic rank of at least Associate Professor (for foreign citizens); and
  13. Has at least 2 (two) publications in reputable international journals (for foreign citizens);

Specific Provisions and Requirements for Applicants:

For applicants for the Lecturer positions in the Master’s Program in Dirasah Islamiyah (Turath Islami):

Islamic Studies, Islamic Discourse, and Islamic Law

  • Holds a doctoral degree or its equivalent in Islamic Studies, with expertise in the study of religion focusing on Islamic text interpretation and Islamic Legal Theory.
  • Has at least 1 (one) publication in a Scopus-indexed journal.
  • Possesses expertise in interdisciplinary studies.

Qur’anic Exegesis and Qur’anic Studies

  • Holds a doctoral degree or its equivalent in Qur’anic Exegesis and Qur’anic Studies, with a focus on Classical Islamic Studies.

For applicants for the Lecturer positions in the Master’s Program in Data Science:

  1. Holds a doctoral degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics.
  2. Has at least 1 (one) publication in a Scopus-indexed journal.
  3. Possesses work experience in industry related to data processing.
  4. Has knowledge in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Engineering, Information Systems, or Statistics.
  5. Teaching experience in a foreign language is considered an advantage.

OTHER PROVISIONS

  1. All applicants must comply with and fulfill the stipulated requirements;
  2. Applications submitted beyond the prescribed deadline or deemed incomplete shall not be accepted;
  3. Any failure to read, comprehend, and adhere to this announcement shall rest entirely upon the responsibility of the applicant;
  4. No fees shall be charged at any stage of the selection process;
  5. Should a candidate who has passed the final stage and been accepted subsequently withdraw, the committee reserves the right to appoint the next highest-ranking applicant, as determined by the UIII Leadership Meeting;
  6. The recruitment process shall be conducted solely on the basis of individual merit. Any representation, assurance, or promise of acceptance made by any party under any pretext shall be deemed fraudulent, and applicants are strictly prohibited from offering or providing any inducement whatsoever to the Committee
  7. If an applicant is found to have provided false information or manipulated data during the selection process, the appointment shall be revoked and/or terminated;
  8. All data and documents submitted by applicants during the selection process shall become the property of the committee; and
  9. The decisions of the committee are final and not subject to appeal.
