Depok, Indonesia – The Annual International Conference on Islam, Science and Society (AICIS+) 2025 has already attracted research paper submissions from scholars representing diverse institutions from 17 countries, marking a new milestone in the event’s global reach and scholarly diversity. Organizers have confirmed that submissions are still open, inviting more academics worldwide to join this year’s exchange of ideas.

Hosted by the Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) in collaboration with the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, AICIS+ has established itself as a premier platform for discussing the intersections of Islamic studies, education, science, and societal issues.

Thus far, the submissions span a wide geographic range, including entries from educational institutions from Indonesia, the United Kingdom, India, Niger, Afghanistan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, Uganda, Nigeria, Qatar, Switzerland, Egypt, China, Saudi Arabia, and Gambia.

“This diverse participation reflects the growing influence of AICIS+ as a truly international platform,” said Dr. Chaider S. Bamualim, Secretary of UIII. “It shows that our academic conversations on Islamic thought, education, and contemporary issues resonate far beyond Indonesia’s borders.”

UIII Rector Prof. Jamhari echoed this sentiment: “From its roots as a national academic forum, AICIS+ has evolved into an arena where voices from around the world meet. Our aim is to nurture dialogue that not only deepens Islamic scholarship but also contributes to solving the world’s shared problems.”

AICIS+ 2025 will be held on 29–31 October 2025, at UIII’s modern campus in Depok, with the theme Islam, Ecotheology, and Technological Transformation: Multidisciplinary Innovations for an Equitable and Sustainable Future. Organizers encourage scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to submit their papers while the submission window remains open.
